Rosso Ravenna "Land of Chalk"
The Rosso Ravenna "Terre dei Gessi" by Casola Valsenio is an elegant wine, obtained from Merlot, Sangiovese and Pinot Nero, with percentages varying according to the vintage. Fermented in stainless steel, it ages for 6 months: partly on the fine lees in steel and partly in French oak barriques, giving it complexity and roundness.
With an intense ruby red color, it presents floral and fruity notes on the nose. On the palate, the Merlot gives sweetness, the Pinot Noir elegance, while the Sangiovese provides structure and freshness. With 13.5% vol., it is perfect with red meats, game, medium-aged cheeses and first courses with mushrooms and truffles.
