Colli d'Imola DOC - Bacche Nere Riserva

The Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva “Bacche Nere” from Fattoria Monticino Rosso is a harmonious, structured and persistent wine on the palate, an excellent result of the areas in which it is grown. The wine and its production method harks back to the classic models of the great Bordeaux wines that overlook the Garonne river. Thanks to its long aging in wood it gives the wine roundness, finesse and complex hints and aromas. 

Hilly area near Imola, in the first hinterland of the Adriatic coast. The grapes come from vineyards that are at least 20 years old and are grown on clayey soils, particularly suitable for red grapes.

Cabernet Sauvignon 100%

After harvesting, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine then matures for 12 months in French oak barriques and then completes its refinement in the bottle for a few months.

Characteristics

  It holds a dark ruby color with light garnet reflections. On the nose it expresses aromas of ripe cherry, wild blackberry, blackcurrant, wild blackberry, vegetal nuances of green pepper, a light vanilla note, peppercorns and final hints of tobacco. On the palate it shows a mature and harmonious structure, the tannin is balanced, with hints of ripe fruit and a persistent and harmonious aftertaste.

Pairings

Particularly suitable to accompany second courses based on red meat, roasts, grilled or game. Also try it in combination with seasoned Emilian cured meats such as Coppa Piacentina PDO.
