A typical liqueur from the Modena hills, produced according to a traditional recipe. Nocino is produced from the hulls of walnuts that are harvested on the night of St. John's Day, 24 June, which, according to ancient tradition, that special night gives the walnuts excellent beneficial virtues. The walnut husk that is obtained is then infused with alcohol for a long period, at the end of which this highly prized 'Riserva' nocino remains for a further 5 years in oak barrels, thus being able to develop the maximum perfume and body.
