Italian Rhododendron Honey
A rare and delicate product, Rhododendron Honey originates in the Piedmont Alps, where bees collect nectar from flowers that bloom only at high altitude and for a few weeks each year. Very pale in color, almost ivory, it has a subtle yet unmistakable aroma, with elegant notes of red fruits and musk.
Its flavor is refined, slightly floral, and never overpowering: ideal simply spread on bread or to sweeten a herbal tea, especially on chilly evenings. It also pairs perfectly with mature, rich cheeses, such as Parmigiano Reggiano aged over 30 months, Castelmagno, or Bitto, to which it lends a refined and balanced contrast.
