The prized Cherry Tree Honey we offer you is produced in Apulia, a land renowned for the cherry fruit tree. Obviously this is a rare and particularly prized honey because cherry blossom begins in spring, a period when the weather conditions are still uncertain and bee families are still quite small; for this reason production is very limited. The flavour is fruity, sweet and aromatic, with hints of cherry stones and bitter almonds. Famous for its detoxifying, energising and restorative powers, it is widely used for its diuretic properties, helping the kidneys to eliminate waste. Also excellent for respiratory tract infections.
Apicoltura Manfredini was established back in 1922 thanks to Pio Manfredini, a true pioneer in artisanal honey production and processing techniques. The family history continues from generation to generation, handing down secrets and passions; refining more and more totally artisanal processing techniques. Respect for bees and the land are the fundamental cornerstone of their production. The honey is processed using traditional techniques that respect the physical, chemical and organoleptic characteristics of the product as much as possible. Such a reality certainly could not be missing among the most prized products of Emilia-Romagna.
Characteristics
Cherry honey has an intense yellow to ochre colour with amber hues, and a fairly soft consistency. The aroma is unmistakable, with floral and cherry notes. It has a sweet, fruity taste with notes of cherry stones and bitter almonds.

Pairings
It can also be enjoyed on its own for its fruity and aromatic notes. Recommended with both fresh (ricotta or Squacquerone di Romagna PDO) and mature cheeses such as 24-month Parmigiano Reggiano. Also perfect with fresh fruit, fruit salads and dried fruit.
