"Linden" Mountain Honey

Linden tree honey of the highest quality produced in the mountains in the heart of the Modenese Apennines: an ideal habitat for our bees. Linden blossom is an essential source of nectar for bees. It flowers from May to September, the period when this delicious honey is produced. The scent is aromatic. The taste is slightly balsamic, mentholated and sweet at the same time. Linden honey is excellent as a source of antioxidants, with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial action. It is famous for its action on the nervous system: it relaxes, calms and counteracts states of anxiety, insomnia and stress.

Apicoltura Manfredini is located in Pavullo nel Frignano in the centre of the Modenese Apennines where the wholesomeness and genuineness of the area is synonymous with a product that is more unique than rare. The quality of the honey depends greatly on the climatic and environmental characteristics that surround it, in fact in this place we find an area free of air, noise and light pollution. Apicoltura Manfredini was established back in 1922 thanks to Pio Manfredini, a true pioneer in artisanal honey production and processing techniques. The family history continues from generation to generation, handing down secrets and passions; refining more and more totally artisanal processing techniques. Respect for bees and the land are the fundamental cornerstone of their production. The honey is processed using traditional techniques that respect the physical, chemical and organoleptic characteristics of the product as much as possible. Such a reality certainly could not be missing among the most prized products of Emilia-Romagna.

Characteristics

Its colour is an intense yellow. The aroma is distinctive, aromatic and slightly mentholated. The taste is balsamic, with notes of herbs and mint, while retaining its sweetness.

Pairings

This linden honey is a classic table honey that is pleasant and fresh. It goes perfectly with medium to mature cheeses, such as our Parmigiano Reggiano. It is also perfect with fresh fruit, fruit salad and cooked fruit. Recommended for those suffering from anxiety, stress and insomnia because it has a strong antispasmodic power on the nervous system.
