Ravenna Famoso PGI - "Rambela"

Obtained from the Famoso grape, an ancient vine native to Romagna, whose first historical references date back to the table of the Lugo Municipal Duties of 1437: 'Rambëla, a table grape formerly sold fresh in the piazzas'. A wine that is the fruit of great research and experimentation, which in recent years has found a clear identity. A dry, fresh, medium-structured, floral and fruity white, ideal paired with seafood dishes.

In Russi, near Ravenna, altitude 15 m above sea level, south/east exposure, medium-textured soil.

Manual harvesting of grapes, fermentation in steel, ageing in steel and bottle.

Characteristics

Straw yellow colour with greenish highlights, sweet floral and citrus fruit scents, in depth sage. Fresh, medium structure and good acidity.

Pairings

Fish first and second courses, crudités, soutè, shellfish catalana, baked, salted and grilled fish. Cooked, raw and grilled vegetables, fresh cheeses such as squacquerone and ricotta.
