Organic Mountain Wild Berry Extra Jam

For products based on the Wild Black Bilberry typical of the Modena Apennines and other wild berries such as raspberries, we have selected a landmark of our territory, the Azienda Agricola i Rodi. A family-run business located in Fanano on the Apennines in the province of Modena. Everything happens here: the cultivation, harvesting and processing of local fruits, amidst green meadows and chestnut woods. As is obvious for a business of this type, all fruit cultivation is organic and the production cycle has almost zero impact on the environment. The bilberry is wild, so it is only picked in the woods and not cultivated, while blackberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants, strawberries and raspberries are both picked and cultivated. Everything is processed in a small on-site workshop, resulting in a small production of the highest excellence. The Azienda Agricola i Rodi, is one of the very few excellences that can boast the Modena Chamber of Commerce mark for Wild Black Bilberry products from the Modena Apennines, which assures us of its certified provenance and its unparalleled characteristics and peculiarities.

Characteristics

This Wild Berry Extra Jam is characterised by a purple-red colour tending towards violet, with a dense consistency and intense aromas. A sweet scent with slightly sour final notes characterises all the preserves and jams from Azienda Agricola i Rodi. This jam goes perfectly with any palate, even those that do not usually like sweet.

Pairings

Perfect for filling cakes, tarts and sweet pies. Also excellent on its own, spread on toast with butter and bread. It reaches the peak of flavour with mature cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano PDO 36 and 40 months or Fossa Cheese PDO.
