Dark Chocolate Salami

I Sapori del Borgo Antico is an exceptional production company in our area, specialising in the production of cakes, biscuits and chocolate. The small, artisan business is located in Montebonello (Pavullo nel Frignao) in the Modena Apennines. The products are made strictly by hand, one by one, in the family tradition, without the use of mass-produced machinery, thanks to master chocolatiers well known in the area, thus giving shape to works of confectionery art. The raw materials are mainly 0 km, like the hazelnuts used, which come directly from their own hazelnut grove, a short distance from the production workshop. The finished product is carefully controlled, to obtain some of the finest products in the entire Emilia-Romagna region.

Chocolate Salami is one of the classic desserts of the Emilian tradition. Combine it with mascarpone, custard or whipped cream to impress your guests. You can also enjoy it at breakfast or for an energising snack. We recommend it with a good fruity and vanilla Passito wine like the one you can find on our website, or with a strong-flavoured liqueur such as nocino or mirtillino.
