Mielito

A highly original and charming hard cheese where pure honey is masterfully added directly to the cow's milk during the cheese-making process. Aged for a minimum of 2 months and carefully coated in natural beeswax to protect its integrity, it delivers a distinctly sweet, nutty, and floral flavor profile that is both rustic and elegant.

The natural sweetness of Mielito makes it an exceptional pairing with savory, salty cured meats like speck or dry-cured ham to create a perfect flavor contrast. It is also wonderful grated over a fresh arugula salad with walnuts. Pair it with an aromatic white wine like Gewürztraminer or a light, floral Rosé.

Ingredients: Pasteurized Cow's MILK, honey, salt, animal rennet, lactic ferments. Rind coated in natural beeswax.
