An iconic, robust sheep's milk cheese from the rugged landscapes of Basilicata. Aged for a minimum of 2 months, it develops a hard, firm texture designed for slicing or grating. It is celebrated for its assertive, sweet, and deeply nutty flavor profile that carries the wild, herbaceous aromas of the Southern Italian pastures.

Moliterno is fantastic when grated over robust Southern Italian pasta dishes, particularly those featuring spicy tomato sauces or rich sausages. It is also exceptional served in chunks with intense fruit marmalades and rustic bread. Pair it with a powerful, structured red wine like Aglianico del Vulture.
