Morelli Busiate

Since 1860, the Morelli family has been crafting pasta in Tuscany with a unique secret: the wheat germ. By reincorporating the heart of the grain into the dough, they create a pasta with an extraordinary, nutty flavor and superior nutritional profile. Busiate is the iconic, tightly coiled pasta of Trapani, Sicily. Originally shaped by wrapping dough around a local grass stem, its spiral structure creates an incredible 'al dente' bite.

Traditionally paired with 'Pesto alla Trapanese' (a Sicilian pesto made with almonds, tomatoes, and basil). Also phenomenal with rich swordfish and eggplant sauces.
